International Joint Initiatives Delegation at the Amsterdam
The Amsterdam International Water Week (AIWW) is a global movement towards a sustainable water environment. This biennial event gathers experts from cities, industries, and utilities from all over the world to combine real-life water cases with innovative solutions. And so creating a circular and resilient water environment in high-density living areas. In 2019 November 4th-8th, the fifth edition of this event was hosted.
Amsterdam International Water Week 2019 built on the momentum gained in the first three biennial AIWWs. It provided a platform to help achieve global progress on water issues. It reached a new benchmark in terms of participation and initiated actions that pave the way for even greater impact around the next AIWW.
AIWW 2019 focused on implementation of integrated solutions by cities, industries, utilities and financiers. The goal is to connect networks and create sustainable solutions across water, waste, urban development, energy and finance. The AIWW sets the scene for new technologies, partnerships, research and innovations to create the conditions for global cooperation and active progress. The AIWW 2019 programme consisted off: AIWW Conference, Aquatech Trade Exhibition, Sarphati Sanitation Awards, AIWW Leadership programme, excursions, side-events and a public event.
